About Us

The Antelope Valley Boys & Girls Club (AVBGC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping young people reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. We are currently modernizing our HR systems and processes, and we’re seeking a skilled ADP Workforce Now Implementation Specialist to lead this critical project.

Position Overview

We’re looking for an experienced ADP Workforce Now (WFN) professional to oversee the full implementation, configuration, and rollout of the platform across our organization. This temporary contractor role (approximately 3–6 months) will focus on system setup, data migration, training, and ensuring a smooth transition for HR and management staff.

You’ll partner closely with our HR team and ADP’s implementation team to ensure all modules — from Payroll to Benefits — are properly configured, compliant, and adopted by end users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of ADP Workforce Now, including setup, configuration, and go-live support.
  • Oversee data migration from existing HR systems and manual records into ADP WFN.
  • Configure and test modules such as Payroll, Time & Attendance, Recruiting, Onboarding, Benefits, and Performance.
  • Develop custom workflows, reports, and dashboards aligned with organizational needs.
  • Deliver training sessions, user guides, and video tutorials for staff and managers.
  • Ensure all system configurations meet federal and California employment compliance standards.
  • Provide regular project updates, manage timelines, and liaise between AVBGC and ADP Implementation Teams.
  • Offer interim HR support and process improvement recommendations during transition.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading full-cycle ADP Workforce Now implementations (preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in HRIS administration, payroll implementation, or HR compliance technology.
  • Strong understanding of ADP WFN modules (Payroll, Time, Recruiting, Benefits, etc.).
  • Experience with data migration, testing, and third-party integrations.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and training skills.
  • Working knowledge of California labor and HR compliance laws.
  • This role involves travel between Club sites and requires the operation of a personal or Club vehicle. Employment is contingent upon maintaining a valid California driver’s license and a driving record that meets the insurance carrier’s underwriting requirements. Employees must remain insurable at all times during employment in this role.
  • ADP Workforce Now certification(s) strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or Information Systems (preferred but not required).

Contract Details

  • Duration: 3–6 months (estimated)
  • Status: Independent Contractor (1099)
  • Location: Remote, with occasional virtual or onsite collaboration (Lancaster, CA)
  • Schedule: Flexible (approx. 20–30 hours per week, depending on project phase)
